Problem with Christening date and date of birth.
Church meeting (Brayford Baptist Church) held November 22nd., 1831 and it was unamimously agreed that an invitation be given to our respected brother William Cutcliffe of Barnstable to take the oversight of us in the Lard for twelve months as probationer with a veiw to pastorate after the expiration of that time. The following is a copy of the letter dated November 22nd., 1831- Having with much prayer and supplication sought the direction of the Great Head of the Church to Minister to you and before Phidar and now we must in fact use to cram among us for twelve months and we engage to give you (20 pounds) for that time and use our best endeavours to provide further assistance and now do bother come on trial at the lord will do and that be your guide and ours that we may glorify his holy name together.- Signed on behalf of the church - John Windsor and William Chewick Deacon. William served as Pastor for 44 years.
