Source also includes "The very Ancient Chruch of Ilfracombe", by Z.E.A. Wade, published by Twiss & Sons, 9, High Street, Ilfracombe about 1900. Sir William Pole said "William of Stodden held Stodden in Henry II tyme, circa 1150 AD".
